New Definition of Family-Centered Care

The following three documents contain the new definition and principles of family-centered care, an explanation of how cultural competence should be integrated throughout your work with family-centered care, and a letter from Merle McPherson introducing the new definition.

The M&M Project: Assessment to Action

The purpose of the Assessment to Action website is to disseminate a four-step process for assisting states in their responsibility to create a comprehensive system of care for children with special health care needs and their families as outlined in the federal 10-year action plan, Healthy People 2010.

The Assessment to Action website is the result of a 5-year project funded by the Maternal and Child Health Bureau's Division of Services for Children with Special Health Needs (DSCSHN). Added May 16, 2005

 

Champions e-Newsletter Now Available

Once each week a new edition of the Champions e-Newsletter will be sent to subscribers. The newsletter is free and subscription is a simple process and each newsletter contains current news and other information about the Champions for Progress Center. More information is available. Round IV Incentive Awards Available

The RFP for Round IV of the Incentive Awards is available. The submission deadline is May 9th, 2005. Incentive Awards are subject to the availability of funds. Added March 30, 2005

 

Topical Reports

A lot of work went into the 2004 multi-state meetings and a lot of good information came out. This set of eight topical reports or issue briefs were generated based upon the discussions that occured there. Added March 1, 2005
