Organizations

The National Center for Hearing Assessment and Management (NCHAM)

The National Center for Hearing Assessment and Management supports early and continuous screening and works to ensure that all infants (newborns) and toddlers with hearing loss are identified as early as possible and provided with timely and appropriate audiological, educational, and medical intervention.

American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP)

The American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and its member pediatricians dedicate their efforts and resources to the health, safety, and well-being of infants, children, adolescents, and young adults. The AAP has approximately 60,000 members in the United States, Canada, and Latin America. Members include pediatricians, pediatric medical subspecialists, and pediatric surgical specialists.

March of Dimes

The March of Dimes supports comprehensive newborn screening for all babies in this country, regardless of their place of birth. They urge every state to screen every baby for at least 30 conditions. For each of these conditions, screening has a documented benefit to the child and a reliable test that enables early detection is available.

National Newborn Screening & Genetics Resource Center (NSGRC)

NSGRC focuses on early and continuous screening and provides information and resources in the area of newborn screening and genetics to benefit health professionals, the public health community, consumers, and government officials.
