Why Is This Important?

A vision for the future is an important component of systems building. Strategic planning documents developed with key stakeholders serve to broaden and disseminate the vision beyond the state's CSHCN program. In states where multiple planning documents exist, including the state's Title V block grant, CSHCN leaders must identify the planning mechanism that has broadest appeal and widest application to promote systems building.

Developing state plans is the second step in the systems building process for establishing a system of care for CYSHCN.
